In Science Olympiad, I worked with my teammates on Hovercraft, Optics, and Circuits. We spent three months improving our hovercraft, changing our design four times and trying different circuit connections. We calculated battery voltage and motor speed, and tested different propellers to reduce drag and improve performance. After many rounds of testing and adjustments, we cut our hovercraft run time from about 3 minutes in regional to just 7.6 seconds and earned 3rd place at the Arizona State competition!
